Actor Amit Behl revealed that Akshaye Khanna strongly objected when a fellow actor was stopped from eating with the main cast and crew, calling out the incident as disrespectful.
MUMBAI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-May-11, 2026) Indian actor Amit Behl has revealed that Akshaye Khanna once strongly confronted a producer after learning that a fellow actor had been stopped from eating with the main cast and crew.
Speaking during an interview, Amit Behl said a character actor, who was staying at a separate hotel, had come to Akshaye Khanna’s hotel for lunch. As soon as the actor took his first bite, the producer’s wife or a relative reportedly objected, saying he was not part of the group and should not eat there.
According to Amit Behl, members of the production team also stopped the actor from continuing his meal, leaving him embarrassed and quietly seated with his plate aside.
He said Akshaye Khanna witnessed the incident from a distance and immediately intervened. The actor reportedly criticized the producer and crew in strong words, saying that films are not made by plates of food or meal portions, but by the prayers and goodwill of people.
Amit Behl added that the incident showed him how sensitive and caring Akshaye Khanna is toward his fellow artists.
