Veteran actress Noshaba Bibi said she was married at age 12 and began working as a child artist the same year, later continuing her showbiz career with her husband’s support despite her father’s opposition.
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Jan,30, 2026) Senior Pakistani actress Noshaba Bibi has revealed that she was married at the age of 12 and started working in the entertainment industry as a child artist in the same year.
In a recent interview, the veteran actress was asked whether she had taken up any job before entering showbiz. She responded that she never had the time, as her marriage took place when she was just 12, and she began working on television soon after.
Recalling her marriage, Noshaba Bibi said she had been playing with dolls and her friends when she learned that a wedding was taking place at her home. She ran inside, only to be seated and prepared for the ceremony. She added humorously that she was so happy about wearing lipstick something she loves that she forgot she was being sent to a new home.
She further shared that after the wedding guests had left, she asked her elder sister-in-law to send her back to her parents’ home. She also disclosed that there was a 23-year age gap between her and her husband. She became a mother at 14; her first child was a son, and she now has three sons and one daughter.
Noshaba Bibi said her father, who had a strict personality, never permitted her to work in showbiz, even though several of his students were associated with ptv. She sought permission from her mother-in-law to work on television, and with her husband’s support, she began her career as a child artist.
