Gold, silver prices surge in India following rise in Pakistan

Gold prices witness a drop of Rs1,900 per tola on Tuesday in Pakistan, bringing the cost of one tola of gold down to Rs441,862

New Delhi: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Dec 10th, 2025) After the recent increase in gold prices in Pakistan, India on Wednesday also experienced a notable rise in the prices of both gold and silver.

The Indian media reported that the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold in Mumbai on Wednesday reached INR130,310.

Similarly, the cost of 10 grams of 22-carat gold is INR119,450. These prices do not include GST or making charges.

In Delhi, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold is even higher, reaching INR130,450, while in cities like Mumbai and Kolkata, the price stands at INR130,310 for the same amount of gold.

In addition to gold, silver prices have also witnessed a significant increase in India. The price of one kilogram of silver has gone up by Rs9,000, pushing the cost to Rs199,000 per kilogram.

Despite the recent surge, Indian media reports suggest that gold prices may see a decline of 3.50% to 3.75% in December, potentially easing the current price rise.

In India, the price of gold is primarily influenced by factors such as international market rates, import duties, taxes, and fluctuations in the exchange rate. These factors contribute significantly to the movement of gold prices in the country.

Gold prices in Pakistan

Meanwhile, in Pakistan, gold prices witnessed a drop of Rs1,900 per tola on Tuesday, bringing the cost of one tola of gold down to Rs441,862.

This marks a contrast to the recent increase in gold prices observed in neighboring India.

The ongoing fluctuations in gold and silver prices across both countries reflect broader economic trends and global market conditions that continue to impact the precious metals market.
