Singer Humaira Arshad said Pakistan Idol chose judges with no link to music, indirectly pointing at Fawad Khan.
LAHORE: (UruPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,22, 2025) Renowned Pakistani singer Humaira Arshad has criticized superstar and singer Fawad Khan for becoming a judge on the talent show Pakistan Idol.
Speaking during a television program without directly naming anyone, Humaira Arshad remarked that the show had appointed judges who have no connection with music.
“This is not the first time that such people have been made judges,” she said, adding that while sponsors might prefer such selections, individuals should consider their own limitations before accepting such offers.
Humaira Arshad further stated that while celebrities may appear on such shows as guests or icons, taking on the role of a judge and making musical judgments is inappropriate. She emphasized that only those with real understanding and expertise in music should serve as judges on such platforms.
