According to his son, Shafqat Cheema has always been known as a strong and influential personality, and the family did not want fans to see him in a weakened state. He said that when his father fell ill, his sisters immediately returned to Pakistan from abroad, and the family collectively decided to keep his illness private to preserve his dignity and respect.
He added that family is the greatest strength during difficult times and expressed gratitude to actress Reema Khan and her husband, a heart specialist, for their special concern and care during the actor’s illness.
Shafqat Cheema, known for his powerful villainous roles, has had a remarkable 35-year career in the film industry. His notable films include Kaale Chor, Godfather, Chooriyan, Munda Bigra Jaye, and Haathi Mera Saathi, along with several acclaimed television dramas.
