Taking to Instagram, Mahira shared pictures of different areas of the city and wrote that she is often shocked by the state of Karachi. The actress said her work has taken her to neighborhoods she had never visited before, where she witnessed people struggling with prolonged power outages, food shortages, and piles of uncollected garbage.
Mahira Khan also reflected on the widening gap between the rich and poor, noting that despite these challenges, the people of Karachi continue to show resilience, hope, and love. She shared that she saw children playing in the streets, mothers cooking in small kitchens, and those same children heading to work early in the morning.
She mentioned one street where a mosque, temple, and church stood side by side, which deeply moved her. Concluding her post, Mahira wrote, “I love you, Karachi.”
