Global solar giant Trinasolar earns major international recognition for its durable and high-performance Vertex N series modules
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 9th, 2025) As monsoon rains and heatwaves lash Pakistan, the need for climate-resilient solar panels has become a talk of the town. In recent windstorms, reports of damage to rooftop solar installations have raised concerns among homeowners, industries, and energy planners alike.
Against this backdrop, global solar giant Trinasolar has earned major international recognition for its durable and high-performance Vertex N series modules—sending a strong signal to Pakistan’s growing solar sector.
Trinasolar received multiple global reliability awards at SNEC, the world’s largest PV and smart energy trade show, held recently. The Vertex N series was named a Top Performer in Kiwa PV Evolution Labs’ (Kiwa PVEL) 2025 PV Module Reliability Scorecard for the 11th consecutive year. It was also recognised as an Overall Highest Achiever in the 2025 PV Module Index Report by the Renewable Energy Test Center (RETC), a distinction awarded to only 12 manufacturers worldwide.
These recognitions are based on extensive third-party testing under harsh conditions, including 55mm iceball impact simulations, 50 thermal cycles, and hot-spot endurance testing. Trinasolar’s Shield extreme climate solution, featuring 25% thicker glass and 2.5 times greater impact resistance than conventional panels, proved its capability to withstand hailstorms with 75mm iceballs at 60° angles—an impressive performance relevant to Pakistan’s unpredictable weather.
The awards come at a pivotal time for the country, where industrial, commercial, and utility-scale demand for reliable, high-efficiency solar modules is on the rise. With available formats of 725W (large) and 645W or 600W (medium), the Vertex N series utilises n-type i-TOPCon technology, offers ultra-low degradation, and supports bifacial power generation—making it ideal for Pakistan’s hot and dust-prone climate.
“Congratulations to Trinasolar for being named a Top Performer for the 11th year,” said Tristan Erion-Lorico, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kiwa PVEL. “The consistency of Trinasolar’s performance showcases the company’s ability to continuously meet evolving industry standards and reliability expectations.”
Cherif Kedir, CEO and President of RETC, echoed similar sentiments. “Among all the manufacturers we evaluated, only 12 qualified for this award. Trinasolar has maintained its place for five years running, which is truly impressive,” he said.
The Vertex N series is already operational in various Pakistani installations, including Tahir Rafique Textile Mills (Faisalabad, 2.5MW), Crescent Steel Mill (Karachi, 561kW), Prema Milk – AT-TAHUR (Kasur, 202kW) and PKLI Hospital (Lahore, 1MW). These projects are helping businesses cut energy costs, improve environmental sustainability, and work toward net-zero carbon goals.
With recent collaborations involving key Pakistani distributors such as Mesol, Diwan, NMC Group, and Premier Energy, Trinasolar’s award-winning modules are now more accessible than ever in Pakistan. These partnerships aim to support the country’s national target of installing over 10GW of solar power capacity by 2030.
Gao Lei, Head of Global Product Management at Trinasolar, said, “Reliability is the cornerstone of long-term value and customer trust. We’re honoured to receive multiple reliability awards, which reflects our strong product quality and industry-leading innovation. Trinasolar will continue to deliver high-performance, reliable products that create lasting value.”
