TBILISI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 09th March, 2023) Georgia's Girchi-More Freedom opposition party and representatives of different NGOs will continue protests despite the withdrawal of the controversial bill on foreign agents, which sparked protests in the country, party member Tsotne Koberidze said on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, the ruling Georgian Dream party announced the withdrawal of the bill on foreign agents from the parliament.
"There will definitely be a demonstration today (on Thursday). Young people do not have confidence in the Georgian Dream (ruling party). We demand two things: we need clarity on how they plan to withdraw the project, and second, we need to release the people who fought with us," Koberidze told a briefing.
