The Louis Vuitton Foundation opened an exhibition called "The Morozov Collection. Icons of Modern Art in Paris," which was brought from Russia to the French capital for the first time, to the public on Wednesday

PARIS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd September, 2021) The Louis Vuitton Foundation opened an exhibition called "The Morozov Collection. Icons of Modern Art in Paris," which was brought from Russia to the French capital for the first time, to the public on Wednesday.

Starting Wednesday, Paris residents will be able to enjoy the art collection by the Russian industrialists, brothers Ivan and Mikhail Morozov, that brings together over 200 masterpieces of contemporary French and Russian art, including works by Paul Cezanne, Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, as well as Mikhail Vrubel, Kazimir Malevich, and many others.

During the official opening ceremony on Tuesday, French President Emmanuel Macron thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for his assistance in organizing the exhibition. Macron also noted that a number of events dedicated to bilateral relations would be organized in the near future as part of measures to strengthen the cultural dialogue between France and Russia.

The exhibition is part of the so-called Trianon Dialogue, a Franco-Russian forum launched in 2017 to strengthen ties between the countries' civil societies, notably through cooperation in culture.

The exhibition will run until February 22, 2022.
