The medical city reported that the program has successfully managed 87 cases through an advanced collaborative approach based on immediate multidisciplinary team (MDT) consultations. This model ensures patients receive accurate, comprehensive, and timely care in accordance with the latest scientific evidence and internationally recognized treatment standards.
The medical city added that the program receives referrals from hospitals across the region. Each case undergoes urgent evaluation, followed by the development of an individualized treatment plan based on the severity of the condition and the patient's clinical status within an integrated care pathway focused on rapid intervention and high-quality outcomes.
Available treatment options under the program include catheter-directed thrombolysis, mechanical thrombectomy, surgical pulmonary embolectomy, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement, and anticoagulant therapy, enabling the provision of advanced, patient-specific treatment solutions.
