Riyadh, October (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 17 اكتوبر 2025ء) Saudi Arabia’s record of hosting world-class events includes the FIFA Club World Cup, the Spanish and Italian Super Cups, Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia, Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, and the Esports World Cup. The Kingdom also staged the International Handball Federation's (IHF) Men's Super Globe, the Next Gen ATP Finals tennis tournament, the PIF Saudi International golf event, and the Saudi Cup premier global horse racing event, in addition to winning the bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2034.
The Kingdom’s continued hosting of major international sporting events reflects its commitment to enhancing its global standing, showcasing Saudi heritage and culture, developing local talent, and encouraging private-sector investment in the sports industry. The World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport aligns with these goals as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to position itself as a hub for global events.
Organized by the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the championship underscores the Kingdom’s steady progress in meeting global hosting benchmarks. The event brings together participants from 22 countries, featuring activities that showcase its athletic, humanitarian, and cultural dimensions, while also promoting public engagement and encouraging citizens to take part in firefighting and rescue sport.
