Boeing has postponed the first test flight of its long-awaited 777X model, the latest edition to the Boeing 777 family of long-range, wide-body aircraft, until January 24 due to bad weather conditions, the company said

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd January, 2020) Boeing has postponed the first test flight of its long-awaited 777X model, the latest edition to the Boeing 777 family of long-range, wide-body aircraft, until January 24 due to bad weather conditions, the company said.

The test was initially scheduled for later in the day.

"We are postponing the #777X first flight that was scheduled to take place tomorrow, Jan. 23, due to weather. The team is currently assessing the possibility of flying on January 24. Stay tuned for updates," the statement published on Twitter said.

The Boeing 777X has new GE9X engines, as well as greater cabin width and new composite wings. The aircraft was designed to hold on average 400 people.
