MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 01st June, 2019) Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Saturday that Ukraine can revive its relations with Russia if it wants to do so, but there have been no concrete steps on Kiev's part so far.
"Everything is in the hands of the new president, of the new authorities. If they want to take some steps, they will take them ... We were not the ones who put an end to anything, it was the Ukrainian authorities. If they want to reanimate something, they are perfectly capable of doing it," Medvedev told the Rossiya 1 broadcaster, adding that Moscow did not see any actions so far.
The prime minister also stressed that Kiev could use any channels to maintain contact with Moscow.
"Based on the common practice, one should always have several channels for communication, and cutting any of the channels would be short-sighted [on Kiev's part]," Medvedev added.
