Instead of respecting the rules of fair competition on the energy market, the United States acts as during Wild West era, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said regarding US moves to hinder the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project in Europe
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st May, 2019) Instead of respecting the rules of fair competition on the energy market, the United States acts as during Wild West era, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said regarding US moves to hinder the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project in Europe."This [Nord Stream 2] project will be a very significant contribution for energy security of Europe, and the project that is a huge competitor, a very serious competitor for American gas producers and suppliers," Peskov said in an interview with RT television.
"So, instead of fair competition, they prefer to act like as in Wild West time. So they just show the gun and they say 'No. No, you guys here in Europe, you are going to buy our natural gas, and we don't care that it is at least 30 percent more expensive than the gas coming from the Russians," Peskov stressed.
