Putin, Abe To Hold Bilateral Summit On June 29 In Japan's Osaka - Lavrov

TOKYO (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st May, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will meet for a bilateral summit on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in Osaka on June 29, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.

Earlier in the day, Lavrov and his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono had bilateral talks and working breakfast that lasted nearly three hours. After a joint statement, the two ministers will participate in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.

"Today we discussed our positions on the issue of developing our relations in all areas within the framework of preparations for another meeting between President Putin and Prime Minister Abe, which is scheduled to take place on the sidelines of the G20 summit on June 29," Lavrov told reporters after the talks.
