TOKYO (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th May, 2019) Japan has told Russia that it considers the military build-up on the disputed Kuril islands unacceptable, Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono said Thursday after 2+2 talks of Russian and Japanese defense ministers.
"As regards military build-up of the Russian armed forces, including missile drills and deployment of fighter jets, our country told Russia that it is unacceptable based on the legal stance of our country," Kono told reporters after the talks.
