Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 29th May, 2019) Former Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan has been given a new position in the Punjab government.
According to details, outspoken Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan has been appointed as the spokesperson of Punjab government.
He is among the 38 spokespersons of Punjab government. He has been appointed upon the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
A notification of his appointment has also been issued.
The government had 22 spokespersons before. The government has even made a WhatsApp group named Punjab Spokesperson PTI for “coordination and sharing of information”. These spokesmen have been “entrusted with the image building” of the government.
Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan was asked to step down as the provincial minister over his derogatory remarks against the Hindu community. The PTI government had then appointed Syed Samsam Ali Bokhari as Punjab Information Minister.
Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan had recently announced to make a comeback after Eid.
In his first interview to a tv channel after resigning from his post, he said that conspiracies were hatched against him but he would not reveal them.
Those who had distributed would reveal themselves, he said, adding, “I play on front foot, that’s why I faced this opposition.”
About his resignation, he said, “When I was asked to step down. I said my ministry was an the mandate of Imran Khan. If he wants it back, he can take it back.”
Not revealing much details, he announced that he is coming back after Eid.
