Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 29th May, 2019) Chaudhary Abdul Jalil, also known as Chacha Cricket, is going to receive the Global Sports Fan Award.
Chacha cricket has been cheering Pakistan on for nearly 50 years and has seen over 300 matches.
He will receive the award in Manchester on June 14 ahead of the India VS Pakistan match in World Cup 2019.
He is among the five sports fans to receive the award. Two Indian super fans Sudhir Kumar Gautam and Sugumar Kumar, Bangladesh’s fan ‘Tiger’ aka Shoyab Ali and Sri Lanka’s Gayan Senanayaka are other global recipients of the first ever Global Sports Fan Awards 2019.
With an aim to honour passion of these great fans, the Global Sports Fan Awards has been crafted by Indian Sports Fan, India’s sports fan community to acknowledge, honour and award the biggest fans.
Speaking on the occasion, ‘Chacha Cricket’ said, “After five decades of cricket frenzy madness, I am overwhelmed to get my first global recognition. This is an emotional moment for me and I would like to thank my family and all well-wishers who stood by me.”
