Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 28th May, 2019) Federal Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Sunday launched Pakistan's first official Moon-sighting website and lunar calendar.
Addressing the ceremony, he announced that Chinese tech giant Huawei has launched 5G technology in Pakistan.
He said that work on its basics is underway and soon, 5G technology will be available in Pakistan.
The minister said that US and China are having a war over 5G technology, adding that the wars will now be fought over technology,
Fawad Chaudhry further said that a movie taking 40 minutes to download will be downloaded in 3.5 seconds with 5G technology.
He further said that the face of television will change with the introduction of 5G technology in Pakistan. Currently, 3g and 4g internet is available to users but soon they will be able to have 5G internet.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has time and again stressed that future belongs to technology and Pakistan has to embrace modern technology to move forward and keep pace with the world.
Ever since Fawad Chaudhry assumed the portfolio of minister of science and technology, he has been coming up with new projects.
He recently launched a lunar Calendar, prepared with the help of experts, that includes important dates from 2019 till 2024 and is working to introduce mobile payment system in Pakistan.
