Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 27th May, 2019) Former director general of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General (r) Ahmad Shuja Pasha is likely to be appointed the new National Accountability (NAB) chairman.
This was hinted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Dr Aamir Liaquat in a tweet on Monday.
Citing sources, he said that former ISI DG Shuja Pasha is appointed to be made the new NAB chairman.
Current NAB Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal has been scandalised after his audio and videos were leaked with a woman.
The government has accused the opposition, especially Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), for using such tactics against the NAB chairman to defame him in order to escape from the accountability process.
On the other hand, the PML-N has called for the formation of a parliamentary committee to probe the NAB chairman issue.
