Moon sighting app to be launched tomorrow: Fawad Chaudhry

The app will be available on Play Stores from Monday.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 26th May, 2019) The mobile application developed for moon sighting will be launched tomorrow.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain announced this while launching moonsighting website and lunar calendar on Sunday.

The scientific committee, formed recently by the government to resolve the moon-sighting controversy, has prepared this mobile application for moon sighting. It will be available on Play Stores from Monday.

Now the people would also be able to sight moon from their mobile application. This app will not only help people in Pakistan, but will also assist Muslims across the world to observe their religious occasions.

Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has finally come up with a five-year lunar calendar to end the moon sighting controversies once and for all.

The Lunar Calendar prepared with the help of experts includes the important dates from 2019 till 2024.

The calendar will be issued this to end the controversy regarding the sighting of moon.

The religious scholars have been taken into confidence before the issuance of scientific based lunar calendar. The Lunar Calendar prepared was sent to Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) to solicit their opinion regarding this calendar.

Mufti Muneeb and Mufti Poplazai were also invited by the science minister in this regard.
