Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 9th May, 2019) At least 10 people, including four policemen, were killed while 28 others injured in a suicide attack on a police van at Gate 2 of the Data Darbar, Lahore on Wednesday.
The suicide bomber had targeted a police van in the suicide attack.
Media reports said that the suicide bomber was not alone. Two of his companions had come to the site of the blast before him.
According to the FIR of the attack, the two companions of the suicide bomber had left him at Data Darbar.
The suicide bomber and his companions came to Data Darbar from Minar-e-Pakistan side.
The investigation agencies are searching for the other two miscreants.
Meanwhile, the details of the shoes the Data Darbar suicide bomber was wearing have been revealed.
Punjab forensic agency has in its report revealed that the suicide bomber was wearing Indian made shoes.
Intelligence sources said that the terrorist had support of a big outfit.
Although the bomber has not been identified yet but according to preliminary investigations, he appeared to be belonging to tribal areas of Pakistan. He could possibly be an Afghan national as well.
The bomber’s conduct tells that he was administered with a toxic injection some time before he blew himself up.
The terrorists are often injected some dope drugs so they don’t hesitate while attacking.
Initial investigations suggest that the bomber came to Punjab via Balochistan of Afghanistan’s Kandahar province.
The suicide bomber was aged around 14 to 16 years. He had come to Data Darbar from an adjacent street.
The explosive material he used was locally made. He had ball bearings on his jacket.
The suicide bomber has been identified with the help of safe city cameras. The footage of the suicide bomber has been provided to Counter Terrorism Department and other investigation agencies.
The body parts of the bomber have been collected. Rafiq reportedly blew himself up after targeting the police van.
