Hajj: 60% Pakistanis have an unfavorable opinion regarding the PTI government’s decision to stop subsidizing Hajj this year

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 60% Pakistanis express an unfavorable opinion regarding the PTI government’s decision to stop subsidizing Hajj this year

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2019 ) According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 60% Pakistanis express an unfavorable opinion regarding the PTI government’s decision to stop subsidizing Hajj this year. A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Recently, the federal cabinet has approved the Hajj Policy for 2019, after which the cost of Hajj has increased as compared to the last year because the government is unable to subsidize Hajj this year. Some people think that the government’s decision to not subsidize Hajj this year is correct while others don’t. What do you think?” In response, 32% said that the government’s decision is correct, whereas 60% did not agree with it. 8% said that they did not know or did not wish to respond.
