The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has cleared two suspected persons in ephedrine quota case after six years, sources said on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News / Online - 08th May, 2019) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has cleared two suspected persons in ephedrine quota case after six years, sources said on Wednesday.The sources also alleged that the suspected persons had been declared innocent after taking billions of rupees. It is ANF history's biggest corruption scam that has ever been surfaced.The suspects identified as Global Pharma Industrial Triangle Kahuta Road CEO Khawaja Asad Yaqoob and Ministry of Health Islamabad Secretary Sajid Yaqoob.

Credible sources said that the ANF officials extracted million of rupees from the suspected persons against their clearance from the corruption scam and closed the case.The sources further said that the ANF has launched inquiry against the officers involved in the corruption scam. The reply has also been sought from higher officers of the ANF.According to details, the suspected persons were charged of getting 500 kg ephedrine against the rules of ephedrine quota in 2010. Later, 500 kg ephedrine was alleged sold to drug smugglers for billions of rupees instead of using it in medicines.The case was registered against them in ANF police station in Rawalpindi. After initial investigation, the court was requested to serve justice as per the law and the looted money should be deposited to the national exchequer.
