Lahore (Pakistan Point News / Online - 07th May, 2019) Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that putting the IMF people in controlling positions was a threat to the country's independence and sovereignty. Speaking in the Senate on Tuesday, he said that the IMF's supervision of our affairs, decision making and dictation was an indication that we have surrendered our independence without a war.He said that country was being placed under the East India Company once again.
He said that pushing the homeland toward dictatorship under the garb of democracy would create gave threats to the country. He said that previously, our experts used to hold talks with the IMF people but now the IMF people would be holding talks with the IMF team. Sirajul Haq said that the government did not consult the opposition regarding ways and means for economic improvement nor did it trust the country's economic experts in this respect. Now, the government was trusting fully on the IMF although the IMF experts were the prime cause of the destruction of our economy.
