Polish Chief Of Staff Arrives In Estonia To Discuss Defense Cooperation - Statement

TALLINN (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th May, 2019) Polish Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Rajmund Andrzejczak arrived on Monday for an official two-day visit in Estonia in order to discuss defense cooperation and meet Polish servicemen, who are taking part in the 2019 Spring Storm NATO drills, the press service of the headquarters of the Estonian Defense Forces said in a statement.

"We will discuss with Estonia the issues of bilateral cooperation, including cooperation between special units, exchange of intelligence and cyberdefense data," Andrzejczak said, as quoted by the press service.

The commander of the Estonian Defense Forces, Maj. Gen. Martin Herem, received the Polish delegation, headed by Andrzejczak at the Amari air base. The Polish delegation also met Estonian Defense Minister Juri Luik and members of the parliamentary defense commission.

More than 9,000 servicemen from Estonia, other NATO member states and their partners are taking part in the 2019 Spring Storm drills, which started on April 29 and will end on May 17. The drills are held in the northeastern part of Estonia, near the border with Russia.
