MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th May, 2019) Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Transport (Rostransnadzor) said on Monday that it would conduct unscheduled inspections of Aeroflot Airline and Sheremetyevo Airport.
"Rostransnadzor... has decided to conduct three unscheduled inspections [of] Aeroflot airline, which plane made an emergency landing, Sheremetyevo International Airport and the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State ATM Corporation" for compliance with air safety legislation," the statement said.
The tragedy at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport took place on Sunday. The Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100), which was performing a flight from Moscow to Murmansk, had to make an emergency landing at the airport due to the fire on board, which ultimately burnt down the aircraft.
