Plane Fire Victims In Moscow's Airport Received Burns, Gas Inhalation Injuries - Minister

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th May, 2019) The majority of victims of plane fire in Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport received burns and gas inhalation injuries, Russian Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova said on Monday.

"[The victims received] thermal inhalation injuries.... In addition, patients have multiple injuries to the body, arms and legs," Skvortsova stated.

The tragedy at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport took place on Sunday. The SSJ100, which was performing a flight from Moscow to Murmansk, had to make an emergency landing at the airport due to the fire on board, which ultimately burnt down the aircraft.

The recent data from the Russian investigative Committee show that at least 41 people were killed in the tragedy. Children are among the victims.
