Digital system to strengthen maternal and child health sector has been launched by Punjab Population Welfare Department

LAHORE (Pakistan Point News / Online - 02nd May, 2019) Digital system to strengthen maternal and child health sector has been launched by Punjab Population Welfare Department. news software and a related mobile app have developed with support from the UNITED States Agency for International Development (USAID). The system would strengthen the maternal and Child health sector in Punjab by digitizing the reporting, processing and archiving of healthcare provider's training records.

A launching ceremony of this new information system namely "TADREES" was organized, here, today. Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Col. (R) Hashim Dogar graced the event as a chief guest. While addressing the ceremony Provincial Minister said that the introduction of this innovative technology will transform the health sector. It would also be helpful for the service providers. He said that trainings related to maternal and child health care could easily be monitored via this information system and a related mobile app.

Hashim Dogar told that TADREES, will reduce duplication in training records and ensure training opportunities are divided equitably among healthcare workers. Addressing the event Secretary Population Welfare Bushes Amman said that hopefully, U.S.-Pakistan efforts would help achieve the countries' common goal of reducing maternal and child mortality. The officers from Population Welfare Department attended this event in great numbers.
