A special court while accepting Pervez Musharraf's request to postpone hearing of high treason case against him adjourned the hearing till June 12
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News / Online - 02nd May, 2019) A special court while accepting Pervez Musharraf's request to postpone hearing of high treason case against him adjourned the hearing till June 12.A three-member bench of special court presided over by Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Tahira Safdar took up the case the high treason case against Musharraf for hearing on Thursday.During the course of hearing, Counsel of Pervez Musharraf Salman Safdar informed the court that his client is unable to walk and he also could not speak well.
Counsel Salman Safdar further said that Pervez Musharraf had to come in Pakistan yesterday morning but he could not come due to illness.He said Musharraf is apologetic and ashamed over not coming in Pakistan.Counsel said that his client was admitted in the hospital for forty times since the last two years.Counsel said that he cannot give answers of court queries without the assistance of Musharraf.I had gone to see Musharraf and spent three days with him but I was wondered to see his condition that he cannot walk and could barely speak", Counsel informed the court.
He said that doctors recommended that travelling for Musharraf is not secure.Counsel prayed court that it should give one more chance to Musharraf to appear before it and postpone hearing of treason case against him due to his illness.The court while accepting the request of Musharraf to postpone the treason case against him adjourned the hearing till June 12.
