Govt officers’ salaries, pensions likely to be increased in upcoming budget

The regulation wing has suggested to merge three ad hoc allowances given to government officers into their salaries raise it by 10 per cent while their pension should be increased by 15 per cent. 

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 2nd May, 2019) The Federal government has sent its recommendation to the finance government to merge three ad hoc allowances of government officers into their salaries and increase their pension by 10 to 15 per cent.

According to a report published in a local newspaper, the government has directed the regulation wing of finance division to prepare three recommendations regarding increasing salaries and pensions of government officers and send a summary to Finance Ministry.

It has also directed to give details about the financial impact of increasing salaries and pensions on the national exchequer.

The regulation wing has suggested to merge three ad hoc allowances given to government officers into their salaries raise it by 10 per cent while their pension should be increased by 15 per cent.

The government is also considering to increase other allowances of government officers as well, including the medical allowance, border area allowance, and house rent.
