Nabd, a leading smartphone platform for Arabic news with more than 1,500 sources, has signed an agreement with Dubai Sports Council to become the digital media partners of Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament 2019

DUBAI (Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2019 ) Nabd, a leading smartphone platform for Arabic news with more than 1,500 sources, has signed an agreement with Dubai Sports Council to become the digital media partners of Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament 2019.

HE Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of DSC, and Mazen Senger, Executive Strategic Manager of Waveline Media Co, the owners of Nabd News Application, signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties, in the presence of Nasser Aman Al Rahma, Assistant Secretary General of DSC, Saleh Al Marzouqi, Director of DSC’s Sports Development section, and Sara Al Sayegh, Director of Communication and Marketing department at DSC. HE Saeed Hareb said: “We are delighted to have a new partner join the NAS Sports Tournament family and their presence will not only promote the competition but also help enhancing its relationship with the community through their wide-ranging media platform.” Mazen Senger added: “We are delighted to partner with Dubai Sports Council in general and proud to support the NAS Sports Tournament in particular, and we consider this agreement an important strategy to support sports and community events launched by the Council. “This agreement is a reflection of the value that Nabd News Application places on social responsibility and its keenness to support initiatives that promote sports and encourage the community to embrace a physically active lifestyle. “The Nabd News Application has a very active sports section, because we believe that sport is the main source of positivity and happiness. We try to motivate all segments of the society to exercise and play sports in order to enjoy a healthy and happy life.” Organised by Dubai Sports Council under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, the NAS Sports Tournament is the biggest event of its kind in terms of participation and prize money, and has been held every year in the Holy Month of Ramadan since 2013. The Tournament has seen more than 22,000 athletes take part over the past six seasons, including amateurs and international legends like Zinedine Zidane and Falcao, and even Ambassadors and Consul Generals of different countries. The seventh season of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament, being held under the slogan ‘Unlimited Capabilities’, will start on May 7 with a glittering opening ceremony at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex and come to a close on May 24. The 13 events for this season are – Futsal, Volleyball, Padel, Fencing, Wheelchair Basketball, Futsal for People with Hearing Disabilities, NAS Night Challenge, the 5km and 10km Run, 75km Cycle Race, 3x3 Basketball, Jiu-Jitsu, Cricket and Snowboarding. Registration is still open for some of the events and those interested can register through the Tournament’s official website: www.nasst.ae. Registration for NAS Night Challenge and the 5km-10km Run will continue until May 6, while registration for NAS Snowboarding and NAS Cycling will close on May 8 and May 11 respectively, and the last date for registration in the NAS Jiu-Jitsu championship is May 20.
