WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th April, 2019) US President Donald Trump in a statement on Tuesday said the United States stands by the people of Venezuela and that the White House is monitoring the situation.Earlier on Tuesday, opposition leader Juan Guaido urged Venezuela's military to overthrow President Nicolas Maduro. Maduro has accused Washington of orchestrating a coup to install Guaido as a US puppet. Russia, China and several other states support Maduro as the country's legitimate president.
"I am monitoring the situation in Venezuela very closely. The United States stands with the People of Venezuela and their Freedom!" Trump said in a tweet.
