Reham Khan slams Asad Umar for weak leadership

Reham Khan said, “Leadership requires nerves of steel and a resolve to solve problems whatever the situation.”

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 28th April, 2019) Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan has slammed former finance minister Asad Umar for leaving his cabinet position under pressure.

Responding to Asad Umar’s statement that he was on the verge of burnout and that he felt peace when Imran Khan asked him to step down, Reham Khan said that leadership requires nerves of steel and a resolve to solve problems whatever the situation.

Weaklings can't cope under pressure, she added.

Former Finance Minister Asad Umar on April 18 announced to quit his portfolio expressing firm commitment to continue working for materializing the dream of prosperous 'Naya Pakistan' under the leadership of Imran Khan.

He announced his resignation during a press conference, soon after his tweet on his social media account on the issue.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan intended to make some reshuffle in the Federal cabinet and the announcement for further changes was expected shortly.

He said amid reshuffle news, he met with the prime minister Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, convinced him on his decision to step down from the cabinet, instead of taking any other portfolio.

He said stepping down from the membership of the cabinet did not mean leaving Imran Khan's vision for a developed and prosperous Pakistan, saying he was always available and would remain so in future.

According to some sources, Imran Khan is even ready to give Asad Umar any ministry of his choice. He has also offered him Petroleum Ministry but Asad Umar is persistent to not take any cabinet position.
