MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th April, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev are attending the Easter service at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, a Sputnik correspondent reported on Sunday.
The service is also attended by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin as well as other public and political figures. The prayer service is headed by Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.
On late Saturday, the Holy Fire was delivered from Jerusalem to Moscow's Vnukovo International Airport and after that to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
Putin visited all Easter services at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior while being the president of Russia, except in 2003 when he had an official visit to Tajikistan.�
