Putin Meets Kim On Russky Island For Their 1st Summit

VLADIVOSTOK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 25th April, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin met North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University on the Russky Island for their first summit.

Kim's motorcade arrived for talks with Putin in Vladivostok nearly 30 minutes after the Russian president entered the venue though the North Korean leader is staying in a hotel next to it.

An official welcoming ceremony was held at the square near the main entrance of the university's building S. Security measures were boosted both in the city and on the Russky Island before the talks.

Particularly, the police and the employees of the university's security service have blocked off the area around the building S and passageways to other buildings.

The two leaders will begin their summit with a tete-a-tete and then will be joined by their delegations for talks in the expanded format.
