Ziauddin Yousafzai is celebrating his 50th birthday today.
Wishing his father on Twitter, Malala thanked him for being the best father and friend.
“Wish you a very happy 50th birthday Aba! Thank you for being the best father and friend,” she wrote while sharing a picture with him.
Ziauddin Yousafzai thanked her daughter for the lovely wish.
Malala is currently studying at Oxford University besides being an advocate for girls' education.
She was shot by a Taliban gunman in 2012 while sitting in her school bus in Swat Valley.
Malala is known for her activism for girls' education and has also been awarded with a Nobel prize for her efforts to promote education in the Swat valley and surving a militant attack in this pursuit.
