MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th April, 2019) The right-hand man of a leader of a terrorist group in Somalia, which is linked to Islamic State jihadist group (IS, banned in Russia), Abdihakim Dhoqob, was killed as a result of an airstrike in the country's northeastern province of Bari, local media reported, citing security services.
The airstrike on the militant's car was supposedly carried out by a US drone on Sunday, the Garowe Online newspaper stated.
The car was completely destroyed, there were also several other militants inside the vehicle, the publication added.
Dhoqob left the radical Islamist group Al-Shabab and joined the IS-linked group, which operates in the mountainous regions of the province of Bari, the newspaper noted.
