MQM-Pakistan chief seeks PM Khan interference to bring betterment in Sindh

Dr Khalid Siddique said PM should intervene to invoke article 149 of the constitution to help the urban population

LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News- 13th April 2019) MQM-Pakistan chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has sought Prime Minister Imran Khan’s interference to bring betterment at different fronts in Sindh.

The MQM is an ally of the government in center but it is sitting at opposition benches along with PTI in Sindh Assembly.

Siddique is information technology minister in PM Khan’s Federal cabinet. Prime Minister Imran Khan in his recent speech during a tour of Sindh hailed the MQM-Pakistan members and termed them the finest politicians. Khan also announced that both parties could enter into an alliance in next elections.

Siddique said the Sindh government was hostile towards the urban population. The PPP government had turned into ethnocentric and made a record of corruption and nepotism, he alleged.

Dr Siddique said PM Khan should intervene to invoke Article 149 of the Constitution in order to help the province's urban population to get rid of discrimination and their due right in the resources.

The PPP, he claimed, had already created two Sindhs and it was accumulating resources from the urban population but did not spend on them.
