Youngster arrested for blackmailing female students of GCU Faisalabad

He used to edit the pictures of female students and would blackmail them.

Faisalabad (Pakistan Point News – 13th April, 2019) The Cyber Crime Wing of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested an accused for blackmailing female university students.

According to details, the accused used to blackmail the female students of Government College University Faisalabad.

Media reports said that the accused had stolen the data of students from the university’s software.

He used to edit the pictures of female students and would then blackmail them.

The FIA recovered three mobile phones and two laptops from the accused.

Earlier, the FIA revealed that the personal data of female students at University of the Punjab is being sold in international market.

The data was sold to the infamous deep web for millions of rupees. The leaked data includes pictures, videos and mobile numbers.

The data is sold on deep web through bitcoins, a Currency that is banned in Pakistan.

FIA revealed that the persons leaking this data seem to be highly professional IT experts as normal hackers cannot use such latest and fast applications.

The data had been stolen from the mobile phones and laptops of female students.

The FIA is making efforts to resolve the hacking scandal of PU students with the help of experts. It is also not certain whether the hackers are based in Pakistan or abroad.
