Martin Kobler leaves after concluding his beautiful journey in Pakistan

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 10th April, 2019) German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler has finally bid farewell to Pakistan.

In his last tweet in Pakistan before he left for airport, the German envoy thanked Pakistan for two wonderful years in this beautiful country.

He also posted the last selfie with a Pakistani follower at the airport.

Kobler said that Pakistan will always keep a firm place in his heart, adding that he’ll be happy to travel to Pakistan in future.

“Last tweet! Door to residence locked, my friend and deputy Jens dropped me at airport. Last selfie with kind follower. Thank you people of #Pakistan for the wonderful 2 yrs in ur beautiful country! Happy to come back to travel. #Pakistan will always keep a firm place in my heart!” he wrote.

He also called on President Dr Arif Alvi before leaving.

German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler had won over the hearts of Pakistanis in a very short time. However, the ambassador recently announced that he is soon retiring.

Since then, Pakistanis were sad over this announcement as they wanted Kobler to stay here forever.

When Kobler posted his farewell message on Twitter thanking the country for its hospitality, Pakistanis demanded that his name be put on the Exit Control List (ECL) so he can’t leave the country. However, our favourite ambassador has finally left for his home country.

In his video message on Tuesday, Kobler was sad that it was his last message to the country.

“This is, unfortunately, my last message after touring your country for two years. I must say I’m leaving the country with a sad heart but be sure I will come back as an ordinary tourist.”

The German envoy went on to say, “I spent two of the most wonderful years in Pakistan which were professionally awarding but also rewarding in my private life. I discovered so many beauties of your country."

Pakistanis are super sad over German ambassador leaving the country. We hope he comes back soon to visit Pakistan!
