Two Motorway police officials suspended over bus hostess harassment incident

A passenger, pretending to be FIA official, had misbehaved with the woman on the bus of a private transport company travelling from Lahore to Islamabad via Motorway.  

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 10th April, 2019) Two police officials have been suspended over negligence while on duty in bus hostess harassment incident.

A video of a passenger harassing a female bus hostess had gone viral on social media.

The passenger, pretending to be Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) official, had misbehaved with the woman on the bus of a private transport company travelling from Lahore to Islamabad via Motorway.

As the video of the incident had gone viral on social media, people had demanded an action over the incident.

Media reports now said that two Motorway police officials present on the occasion have been suspended over negligence on duty.

The National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) suspended woman inspector Naseem Kaliyar and officer Israr Ahmed for not taking immediate legal action on the incident.

Moreover, a committee has also been formed to probe the incident. The committee will send its report to Punjab chief minister after completing it.

The incident happened when a man had threatened the bus hostess that he will take her away with him after throwing her out of the bus.

The scared hostess kept crying as other passengers recorded videos of the incident. The alleged FIA official was then forced to disembark from the bus after the Motorway Police intervened.
