Shehbaz Sharif leaves for London

Shehbaz Sharif has gone to London for his medical check-up and consultation with his doctor.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 10th April, 2019) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has left for London.

According to details, Shehbaz Sharif departed for London in a private airline flight QR-621.

Shehbaz Sharif had got multiple visa for Britain for himself and his wife Nusrat Shehbaz. Not only that, he had also applied for visas of his mother and four staff members.

Sources said that Shehbaz Sharif has gone to London for his medical check-up and consultation with his doctor.

He will also meet Hamza Shahbaz’s wife and his newly born granddaughter.

Shehbaz Sharif had announced to go to London for the medical checkup and to meet his grandchildren on Twitter yesterday.

The PML-N leader tweeted: “Allah blessed my younger son with a boy while my elder son got blessed with a baby girl after 20 years of marriage. Little girl had to undergo major heart surgery in London within a week of birth. I haven’t seen both of them yet because of my detention and my name being on ECL.”

He added: “Because of Judicial grace exercised by Honourable courts, I am now on bail and my name has been taken off the ECL. In these circumstances, I am going to take a quick visit to London to see my grandchildren & go through my own medical check up and return soon IA!”

The government had on April 4 removed Shehbaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

The home department issued the notification for the removal of the name of the opposition leader in National Assembly following the Lahore High Court’s order. The LHC had issued the direction for the same on March 26 on a plea against putting Shehbaz name on the exit control list.

The government had placed the name of Shehbaz on ECL list on February 21 due to the ongoing corruption case against him.
