Moscow Working to Ease Visa Regime With All Arab Countries - Deputy Foreign Minister

Moscow is interested in easing the visa regime with all Arab countries, and the Russian Foreign Ministry is doing everything possible to reach progress in this field, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said at the plenary session of the Russian-Arab Business Council in Moscow on Monday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 08th April, 2019) Moscow is interested in easing the visa regime with all Arab countries, and the Russian Foreign Ministry is doing everything possible to reach progress in this field, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said at the plenary session of the Russian-Arab business Council in Moscow on Monday.

According to Bogdanov, certain progress has already been achieved, as agreements have been concluded with a number of Arab states to waive mutual visas altogether.

"It is in our common interest to follow this path. We, in the Foreign Ministry, will do our utmost, within our competencies, so that this process advances as fast as possible," the diplomat said.

The deputy foreign minister assured that Russia was engaged in parallel negotiations on the matter with all Arab countries.�

"These issues are on the agenda of all talks, including at the highest political level," Bogdanov said.

The Russian-Arab Business Council started earlier on Monday and will continue through Wednesday.

Russian citizens currently do not need a visa to travel to such Arab countries as Djibouti, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia.
