TOKYO (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th April, 2019) South Korean police arrested a country's army officer, who tried to ram his car into the gate of the presidential office in Seoul, local media reported on Thursday.
The ramming incident occurred on Wednesday, the Yonhap news agency reported citing the Jongno Police Station. The army major used a BMW sedan car.
"We were not able to know about his motive behind the incident as we had a problem communicating with him normally," an investigator told Yonhap.
The arrested officer was not under the influence of alcohol, or drugs at the time of the attempted attack. He reportedly suffered from a mental disease but further details remain unknown.
