Islamabad (Pakistan Point News / Online - 03rd April, 2019) During the last 10 years funds of more than Rs168bn were released to Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) for the rehabilitation of 2005 earthquake victims.Unfortunately, a large portion of these funds were embezzled by the ERRA officials and Minister Khushro Bakhtiyar, against whom NAB investigation is in process.For the rehabilitation of victims of 2005 earthquake victims, Rs41bn released in 2006 in Musharraf era, and in Rs84bn released during PPP government, while during Nawaz regime Rs16bn released during first two years.During investigation it has been revealed that the first Chairman of ERRA who is now an owner of 38 companies embezzled the major portion of funds.
