Five held for looting houses in guise of domestic servants in Islamabad

Islamabad Shalimar police station has arrested five persons for their involvement in ransacking houses in guise of domestic servants and recovered valuables and cash from their possession, a police spokesman said

ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 02nd April, 2019) Islamabad Shalimar police station has arrested five persons for their involvement in ransacking houses in guise of domestic servants and recovered valuables and cash from their possession, a police spokesman said.Following the directions of DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, he said SP (Saddar) Malik Naeem assigned special task to a team headed by DSP Haq Nawaz to ensure arrests of those involved in looting various houses.

Following this assignment, this team also including SHO Shalimar police station Sub-Inspector Shabbir Tanoli, ASIs Arshad Ali, Turab Ali and others succeeded to arrest five persons who used to loot houses after getting jobs as domestic servants there. Police have obtained their remand from the concerned court while looted valuables including cash, cameras and one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition were recovered from their possession.They have been identified as Mushtaq, Khuram Shahzad, Aamir Shehzad Ramzan and Akbar.

During the preliminary investigation, they confessed to loot houses in areas of Shalimar, Karachi Company and Ramana police stations. Further investigation is underway from them.DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated this performance of Shalimar police station and directed all police officials to accelerate efforts in combating criminal elements. He has further appealed the citizens to ensure proper identification of persons being given jobs at their houses as servants or maids. NNI
