According to details, Ali Raza, who hails from the suburbs of Chiniot, brutally beat up his wife for refusing to go with his friends after he lost her in a gamble.
Mehwish was staying with her parents to take her SSC exam when she was brought back home by her drug addict husband, only to send her with his friends he lost the gamble to.
The husband also torn off the roll number slip of his wife and threatened her of severe consequences if she did not follow her directives.

Injured Mehwish managed to flee from the house and reached her parents’ home.
Mehwish filed an FIR with the police, stating that her husband Ali Raza is a drug addict and gambler. Ali Raza played a gambling game with three of his friends on Saturday night lost.
Meanwhile, police said they have filed the FIR based on the woman's medical report and the request she submitted.
The accused has been arrested.
