Ukrainian Presidential Turnout Exceeds 66.8% As Of 17:00 GMT - Election Commission

KIEV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st March, 2019) The Ukrainian presidential election turnout as of 8 p.m. (17:00 GMT) was 66,8% according to data provided by 10 out of 199 electoral districts, the country's Central Election Commission (CEC) said on Sunday.

As of 11 a.m. the turnout, according to the CEC website, was 16.63 percent (from 198 electoral districts), and as of 3 p.m. - 45.11 percent.

The polling places were open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. There is no minimum voter turnout set for the election.

The Ukrainian presidential elections took place on Sunday. According to the exit polls, Volodymyr Zelenskiy and incumbent Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko have made it into the 2nd election round set for April 21.
