London (Pakistan Point News / Online - 28th March, 2019) Oxford University has announced to confer an honorary Ph.D degree to the Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.Rahat Ali Khan will be awarded the degree in recognition to his invaluable services to the music field. The event in this connection will be held on June 26 this year.The honorary Ph.D degree will be awarded to seven others for their invaluable services in respective disciplines.According to the university management, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was born into a family which has become the recognition of South Asian music. Khan began studying music at the age of seven and has released over 50 albums till date.
